Partial or Full Rewiring

If your domestic or commercial property is over 25 years old and you have not had the electrics updated in that time, you may need an electrical rewire.

Faulty and old wiring can lead to electrical hazards, such as fire and electric shocks, and will need to be brought up to current electrical safety standards.

As well as improving safety and meeting compliance, rewiring offers an opportunity to improve your electrics by adding more appliances and circuits and future-proofing your home.

A Team Electrical Services have vast experience and expertise in all aspects of electrical rewiring and can complete both partial and full rewires with minimal disruption and in accordance with relevant regulations and safety standards. We will leave you with a certified installation with an insurance-backed warranty.

As well as updating wiring within an older property, you will need to consider the electrics if you are planning refurbishment or remodelling work that constitutes a material alteration as defined by the Building Regulations. In these cases, it will be likely that you will need to partially rewire your property.

If you are planning an extension, this will be classified as new work and new wiring will need to conform the statutory Building Regulations Part P: Electrical Safety standards in dwellings.

How much does an electrical rewire cost and what does it involve?

The cost of rewiring your property will depend on size of your property, the number of circuits and their complexity and the finish. Sometimes a completely full rewire can be avoided but our electrical contractors will be able to advise you.

A full rewire will involve replacing all electrical wiring in every room of your home, including all sockets, switches, and cables. The process is both messy and invasive and we aim to make it as easy and seamless as possible and will approach each project in a slightly different way, whether you are living there or not. We will give you a clear understanding of our requirements at the outset.
